Job summary

Zotec Partners, a growing healthcare tech company in Indiana, is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead a team of developers and test engineers. You will guide technical direction, mentor team members, and partner with leadership to drive platform initiatives and reliable delivery.

You will promote best practices in code reviews, DevOps, and production readiness while collaborating with product management to plan scope and estimates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent education/work experience.
• 5+ years in a software development environment.
• Experience delivering solutions using Python, C#, .NET, Angular, TypeScript & SQL.
• Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.
• Self-starter with problem-solving mindset and adaptability.
• Ability to mentor and grow team capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of 5 developers and 2 test engineers with regular feedback and career development plans.
• Oversee planning, standups, retrospectives, and ensure commitments are met.
• Partner with Engineering Director to improve code review, DevOps, CI/CD, release management, QA, and production readiness.
• Collaborate with product management on scope, sequencing, and estimation.
• Use metrics to identify bottlenecks and reliability risks; own production incidents and post-incident reviews.
• Coordinate cross-team dependencies and staffing decisions; set technical direction for the platform.
• Foster an engineering culture focused on excellence, accountability, and client success.
• Promote AI-enabled development tools for coding, testing, and delivery acceleration.
