Job summary

Kraken is seeking an Engineering Manager on the Growth team to lead and grow a cross-functional group of engineers delivering growth-critical systems and features.

You will partner with Product and Design to define scope, set priorities, and ensure seamless execution across time zones in a fully remote, async environment.

This role emphasizes ownership, coaching, and accountability, with a focus on building reliable, scalable software that accelerates user acquisition and engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineering teams and delivering high-quality results in a collaborative environment.
• Strong people leadership skills — you coach, set context, and empower others to make good decisions.
• Solid technical foundation; you can engage in design discussions and help engineers make pragmatic trade-offs.
• Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages (e.g. TypeScript, Rust, Go, Python, or similar).
• A product mindset — you care about how your team’s work impacts users and moves key metrics.
• Clear communication and organizational skills, aligning engineering outcomes with business goals.

As an Engineering Manager on the Growth team, you’ll lead and develop a cross-functional group of engineers delivering high-impact features, platforms, and tools that power user acquisition, activation, and retention.
