Role Overview

This role involves building high-performing Go and Python services and secure identity and access management solutions used across all company products, including Ubuntu One SSO, Juju, LXD, and MAAS.

Responsibilities

1. Lead and hire a high-performance software engineering team.
2. Design and implement complex, distributed systems.
3. Work with container technology and Kubernetes.
4. Ensure software security and performance.
5. Collaborate with product management to define technical vision.
6. Review code, mentor team members, and oversee all development phases.
7. Engage with open source communities through events and webinars.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in software engineering teams.
