Engineering Manager for IAM (Identity and Access Management)

About the Role

We are hiring an Engineering Manager for IAM to lead the development of secure identity and access management solutions across all Canonical products. You will manage a team building high-performance Go and Python services, working with open source projects, and deploying on various platforms including bare metal, cloud, and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and hire a high-performing software engineering team
• Design and implement complex distributed systems
• Work with container technologies and Kubernetes
• Ensure software security and performance
• Manage the product backlog and review code
• Collaborate with open source communities and internal teams

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in software engineering
• Experience with Go and Python
• Knowledge of distributed systems and containerization
• Understanding of security and performance best practices
• Familiarity with IAM technologies is a plus
• Excellent communication skills in English

Location

This role is remote, based in the EMEA or AMER regions.
