Job summary

StubHub is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead two FinTech teams responsible for revenue finance and tax systems. You will set technical direction, mentor engineers, and work with Finance, Accounting, and Tax stakeholders to deliver auditable, scalable systems.

You’ll drive data-informed decisions, improve delivery velocity, and build a high-performing, inclusive team focused on financial integrity at scale. Hybrid role with NYC or CA locations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of engineering experience with ownership of production systems.
• 4+ years leading high-performing engineering teams.
• Experience building financial, payments, billing, ledger, or tax systems.
• Strong backend, distributed systems, APIs or data platforms experience (Postgres/SQLServer/Java/Python/React).

Responsibilities

• Define and execute a clear technical direction for two finance-focused teams.
• Deliver high-quality, auditable systems supporting revenue and tax.
• Hire, coach, and retain top engineers while raising team performance.
• Align engineering roadmaps with Finance, Accounting, and Tax needs.
• Promote data-driven decisions and measurement of impact.
• Ensure reliability, correctness, and long-term maintainability.
