Job summary

Convex in San Francisco is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the teams shaping the Convex developer and agent experience. It's an ambitious mandate spanning APIs, agent frameworks, integrations, and the component system to make building with Convex effortless.

This role is hands-on, not a hands-off manager. You’ll guide architecture decisions, give engineers ownership, and push for high-quality, simple, secure software while collaborating with the CTO and product lead.

• Strong architectural judgment and system design skills.
• Proven ability to ship high-quality developer tools and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the teams building Convex developer experiences.
• Collaborate with CTO and product lead to align priorities and architecture.
• Stay hands-on with architecture decisions, code reviews, and technical direction.
• Design, build, and maintain developer-facing surfaces of Convex.
• Provide candid feedback and drive ownership within the team.
