In this role, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for building and maintaining a critical data infrastructure that processes hundreds of billions of events daily. You will ensure reliability, scalability, and performance across real-time and batch data pipelines used by multiple business units. This is a technically complex and high-impact position requiring strategic leadership, hands-on understanding of distributed systems, and the ability to collaborate across engineering, data science, and operations teams. You will help shape the future of data infrastructure, mentor engineers, and drive adoption of best practices in data governance and production at web scale.

Accountabilities
  • Lead the design, evolution, and scaling of the data pipeline infrastructure to support organizational growth.
  • Drive high-impact engineering projects that align with company-wide technical and business objectives.
  • Build, mentor, and grow a high-performing team, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
  • Establish and enforce best practices for data production, consumption, and governance.
  • Ensure the data pipeline remains highly reliable, low-latency, and performant under massive scale.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams to meet their data needs.
  • Extend and optimize data infrastructure across multiple cloud environments and data centers.
  • Continuously improve team processes, technical skills, and leadership practices.
Qualifications
  • 2–4 years of experience managing high-performing engineering teams.
  • 7+ years of experience building large-scale, distributed backend systems.
  • Strong expertise in scalability, performance, and operational excellence for critical data systems.
  • Hands-on experience with technologies such as Go, Kubernetes, Flink, Kafka, and BigQuery preferred.
  • BS degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, technically complex environment.
