Job summary

Lambda’s Core Cloud Platform organization builds software and services that turn large-scale GPU infrastructure into reliable, customer-facing cloud products. You will lead a team building foundational platform services, owning people, execution, and production outcomes.

As Engineering Manager, you will define the technical roadmap, ensure multi-datacenter reliability, and partner with senior engineers to shape architecture and automation across compute, networking, storage, and security.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering in roles with distributed systems ownership.
• 8+ years building business-critical services in Python or Go.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration across infra, platform, and product teams.
• Experience coordinating multi-region deployments and high-availability architectures.
• Hands-on when needed, capable of deep-dive details without becoming bottleneck.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, and production operation of foundational cloud-platform services.
• Own the technical roadmap for a distributed, observable platform.
• Guide a team of senior and staff engineers; hire, develop, and maintain high performance.
• Set engineering practices: design reviews, testing, CI/CD, incident response, on-call.
• Collaborate with peers to deliver complete customer outcomes.
• Advance automation and AI-assisted engineering to improve leverage.
