Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a seasoned Process Engineering Leader to drive coil coating operations across seven lines. You will shape process improvements, mentor engineering teams, and partner with the Director of Engineering to benchmark and implement best practices.

Real-time problem solving on the plant floor will be a big part of your role. Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in heavy manufacturing, coil coating experience, and deep knowledge of Rockwell Automation platforms, including

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related discipline)
• Minimum of 10 years in a heavy manufacturing industrial environment within a plant or maintenance capacity
• 3+ years people leading within engineering or technical teams
• Direct experience in coil coating or paint line operations
• Proven experience working in continuous processing environments (coating, metals, or similar high-speed lines)
• Strong background in commissioning, troubleshooting, and production support
• Strong experience with Rockwell Automation platforms, including ControlLogix and CompactLogix PLCs, Studio 5000, PowerFlex AC/DC drives

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for process engineering across seven coil coating lines.
• Oversee multiple production lines and drive improvements in safety, quality, reliability, and performance.
• Develop understanding of BCP coating line processes and identify improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with the Director of Engineering and technical experts to benchmark best practices and implement CI initiatives.
• Spend significant time on plant floors solving problems and supporting troubleshooting efforts.
