Job summary

Voyager Technologies in Penrose, CO is seeking an Engineering Manager, Chemicals to lead a team of chemical engineers across process design, pilot demonstration, and production scale-up for defense-critical manufacturing.

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will drive strategy, resource planning, and compliance with internal and government standards while mentoring talent and fostering a culture of safety and technical excellence. The role will transition to Pueblo, CO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years hands-on chemical engineering experience or Master’s with 3+ years.
• 15+ years hands-on chemical synthesis and pilot plant experience.
• 5+ years leading complex engineering projects in regulated or defense environment.
• 5+ years leading and supervising high-performing chemical engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of chemical engineers across process design, equipment fabrication, pilot demonstration, production scale-up, and automation.
• Drive engineering strategy, planning, and resource allocation to meet objectives for chemical R&D and manufacturing operations.
• Oversee development and approval of engineering deliverables, procedures, and risk assessments with continuous improvement.
• Represent the engineering organization in reviews and develop talent through coaching and growth opportunities.
