Job description

As we scale our product and organization, we are hiring for our first engineering leader and manager based out of Mexico City. You will have the unique opportunity to work closely with engineering leadership to establish hiring practices and best practices for working with our first international engineering team. You will also be instrumental in hiring for and building out our talent network in Mexico City.

What you'll do
  • Lead, manage, and grow a team of high-functioning engineers partnering with multiple engineering teams based out of Mexico City.
  • Implement streamlined processes and best practices for collaboration with our SF (HQ) and NYC teams.
  • Cultivate a safe and inclusive team culture that fosters impactful outcomes.
  • Mentor passionate and skilled engineers, collaborate with senior engineers to amplify their contributions, and coach early-career engineers.
  • Apply your technical expertise to collaborate on designing and constructing high-quality, sustainable products.
  • Collaborate across functions with engineering, product, design, and sales teams to ensure a seamless cross-platform experience for our customers.
Who you are
  • An experienced engineering leader with at least 3+ years of people management experience, currently based in Mexico City.
  • Experience partnering with US teams/clients and establishing collaboration best practices.
  • Experience leading teams in developing mission-critical product features with a focus on quality.
  • Experience in product definition, managing trade-offs, and driving customer adoption.
  • Experience managing and developing mid-level, senior, and staff engineers.
  • Bonus: Previous experience in a similar role or founding teams, and enthusiasm for scaling engineering efforts.
