Job summary

Google is seeking an Engineering Manager for Capacity Management within Google Fleet, based in Sunnyvale, CA. You will lead multiple teams across sites, own outcomes, and help develop capacity planning products that automate resource provisioning.

You will guide engineers, influence product strategy, and drive scalable architectures for large-scale distributed systems, ensuring reliability and efficiency in a global hardware and software stack.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 3 years of experience with large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, compute/storage, or hardware.
• 3 years in a technical leadership role.
• 2 years in people management or team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of a resource distribution ecosystem.
• Transition engineering to artifact-driven development with structured artifacts for autonomous agents.
• Tackle high-impact challenges at the intersection of large-scale systems, risk modeling, and policy enforcement.
• Collaborate with partner teams to define requirements and deliver a unified platform.
• Coach and grow engineers, build leadership bench, foster technical excellence and innovation.
