Job summary
KAYAK, part of Booking Holdings, is seeking an Engineering Manager for its Berlin hub to lead one or more agile teams delivering high-quality software. The role focuses on end-to-end delivery, roadmap ownership, and strengthening engineering practices to scale products for business travel customers.
You will mentor engineers, hire talent, and collaborate with product and design peers to execute complex multi-team initiatives across a distributed, multilingual organization.
Qualifications
- 11+ years of software engineering experience with a track record in fast-paced environments.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end delivery for one or more agile engineering teams.
- Define and drive the technical roadmap for your team's domain.
- Design and enforce engineering best practices across the codebase.
- Lead hiring and performance management for engineers.
- Coach and develop engineers at all levels.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers and designers.
- Identify and remove delivery risks and drive improvements.
- Champion a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
- Influence technical architecture and participate in design reviews.
- Contribute to engineering hub growth and talent acquisition.
