The Bedrock AI Platform team is powering systems and services for all our user‑facing apps including Snowsight, Snowflake Intelligence, and new mobile apps. Our mission is to craft innovative backend services, features, tools, infrastructure, and AI tooling that bring such products to life with delightful user experiences. As part of our team, you'll dive into a mix of creating features, managing platform infrastructure, and building AI self‑serve tools to support the platform and its developer's needs. We're passionate about building a platform that is highly reliable, available, maintainable, and scalable. Own the technical strategy and execution for the team, driving projects from initial idea formulation and detailed system design to high‑quality implementation and successful deployment.
Provide deep technical oversight by actively participating in design reviews, architecture discussions, and drilling into complex system implementations to ensure reliability and scalability.
Serve as a key technical contributor and subject matter expert, setting the bar for engineering excellence and coding best practices within the team.
Mentor and coach engineers on complex technical challenges and career development, and grow a strong, diverse team through proactive hiring.
Define team plans and deliverables while remaining accountable for the platform's availability, maintainability, and performance.
Collaborate closely with the Product Management team to translate user needs and product requirements into clear technical roadmaps.
Lead the improvement of our engineering processes, tooling, and standards, focusing on efficiency and velocity.
Partner effectively with other engineering and cross‑functional teams to ensure smooth integration and influence the direction of the broader platform.
9+ years of experience in designing and building large‑scale user‑facing systems in production.
3+ years of experience in managing and leading teams building lean mission‑critical, highly concurrent, high‑throughput, low‑latency systems that power user interfaces.
Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Extensive and strong development experience in cloud environments, such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, is a plus.
Strong hands‑on skills. Can drill deep into the complex system design and implementation on a routine basis.
BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related majors, or equivalent experience.

The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non‑discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
