Job summary

Securian Financial in Minnesota seeks a Technology Engineering Manager to lead the APMS team, shaping the enterprise technology portfolio for associates and customers. You will set platform direction, govern operations, and build partnerships with Marketing, AI CoE, and architecture groups.

You will lead capabilities in Microsoft 365, SharePoint, associate-facing AI, and marketing technology, including Salesforce Marketing Cloud, while driving governance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead and develop others through coaching or mentoring.
• Experience leading technology products or portfolios with governance and continuous improvement.
• Ability to translate business strategy into technology roadmaps and outcomes.
• Strong communication and relationship-management skills for stakeholder alignment.
• Experience in agile, iterative, or structured work-management environments.
• Analytical, creative problem solving and results-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technology platform owner for the APMS portfolio with roadmaps and governance.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team fostering trust and accountability.
• Strategize and optimize Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and associate-facing AI capabilities.
• Partner with Enterprise Marketing to deliver marketing tech capabilities including SFMC.
• Build partnerships across business and technology teams and manage vendor relationships.
• Provide financial, vendor, and workforce leadership for technology investments.
• Advance product management and agile practices while mitigating risks.
