Job summary

Polluxa, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead one of two engineering pods. This player-coach role will own people, priorities, and technical decisions within your feature area, while remaining technical enough to guide the team.

The role supports a growing team, from about ten engineers today toward 15–20 within a year, leveraging AI coding tools to maintain a fast, high-leverage organization driven by strong engineering judgment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading small engineering teams and delivering features end to end.
• Strong technical judgment with the ability to make architecture decisions.
• Proven hiring, interviewing, and coaching of engineers.
• Comfort with AI-assisted coding tools and modern stacks.

Responsibilities

• Lead a pod of AI and web engineers.
• Own technical decisions inside your feature area.
• Hire, interview, and grow engineers as the team scales.
• Collaborate with the CTO to align architecture and roadmaps.
• Translate vision into sprints and execution.
• Work with design partners and customers to shape work.
• Navigate ambiguity in an early-stage company.
