Apple seeks an Engineering Manager in the Special Projects group to lead a team focused on simulation for AI/ML. You will drive data-driven datasets, manage engineers and artists, and contribute to tool development and architecture.

You will shape roadmaps, hire top talent, and collaborate across disciplines to deliver high-impact, early-stage innovations in a fast‑moving environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience developing software and content as an engineer or technical artist.
• Strong software engineering background with leadership experience.
• Experience as a software engineering team manager.
• 3D content production background in games, film or VFX is desirable.
• Experience with contemporary generative AI for coding and 3D data generation.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to lead multiple projects and foster collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of engineers and artists to generate 3D content and datasets.
• Develop a roadmap delivering key datasets to internal teams and customers.
• Hire and develop top engineering and art talent.
• Collaborate with cross-functional groups to plan and deliver datasets.
• Contribute to architecture, design and feature development, including generative AI approaches.
• Contribute to toolsets and data deliveries, using internal tools to assess strengths and weaknesses.
