Job summary

LangChain, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the LangSmith team, the observability and evaluation platform for LLM applications. Define technical direction, grow a world-class team, and partner with product and design to deliver customer-trusted AI systems.

You will lead by example in Go/Python and TypeScript, drive scalable architectures, and engage with customers to translate needs into product improvements. Competitive compensation is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience leading or mentoring teams delivering complex full-stack products.
• Strong technical background in Go, Python, and React/Typescript.
• Solid understanding of databases (Postgres, Redis, ClickHouse) and scalable data-heavy systems.
• Proven ability to design high-throughput data-intensive architectures.
• Bias toward shipping quickly and learning from customers.

Responsibilities

• Build, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team for LangSmith.
• Strengthen engineering culture through mentorship and code quality.
• Define long-term technical direction for LangSmith and ensure scalability and reliability.
• Collaborate with product and design to plan scope and success criteria.
• Maintain high technical standards while moving with urgency and focus.
• Lead by example writing clean, well-tested Go/Python and TS code and engage with customers.
