Job summary

Google’s AutoCloud team is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead memory and context technologies for autonomous agents. You will own architecture for memory systems, caching, and cross-team collaboration to push multi-tenant, privacy-conscious AI workloads forward.

You will mentor a team of engineers, shape the roadmap, and partner with cloud service teams to deliver scalable solutions across GCP. This role emphasizes leadership and deep technical execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 5 years leading ML design and optimizing ML infrastructure.
• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
• 2 years of experience with GenAI techniques or related concepts.
• 2 years of people management or team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Define the technical roadmap and architecture for memory systems, context synthesis pipelines, graph representations, and hybrid search/RAG platforms.
• Mentor and grow an engineering team; drive talent acquisition and evaluations.
• Lead design of low-latency context caching, memory stores, and pruning strategies for agents.
• Build automated evaluation pipelines to measure memory retrieval precision and grounding fidelity.
• Ensure multi-tenant data privacy, compliance, and high availability across subsystems.
