Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Data Labeling Platform in Santa Clara. You will guide a team of engineers across data engineering, AI applications, and frontend interfaces to deliver scalable annotation solutions and robust workflows.

You’ll drive system design, mentor a high-performing team, and partner with VPs and Data Factory operations to optimize latency and throughput for large-scale labeling tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 2+ years as a technical lead or engineering manager.
• Hands-on Engineering: strong background as Software Engineer/Data Engineer/AI Application Engineer with Python expertise.
• AI & Data Engineering: architecture-level understanding of data pipelines, distributed systems, and production ML workflows (auto-labeling, human-in-the-loop).
• Leadership Capability: experience leading technical initiatives or mentoring engineers; senior ICs considered for tech-lead to management path.
• Exceptional Communication: ability to translate technical constraints for VPs and business goals for data factory workforce.

Responsibilities

• System Design & Programming: guide robust software design and data engineering practices, sometimes coding in Python.
• People Leadership: build and lead a high-performing team of software, data, and AI engineers.
• Stakeholder Management: align roadmaps with VPs, researchers, and data factory operations.
• AI Application Engineering: architect auto-labeling apps using multi-modal models-in-the-loop to reduce labeling latency.
• Data Engineering & Analytics: own data pipelines, logging, ETL to the data lake, metrics and dashboards.
• Front-End & Annotation Interfaces: lead front-end work for annotation tools across modalities.
• Operations Scaling: optimize for scalability, data integrity, and throughput between humans and ML systems.
