Job summary

CARFAX is seeking a Manager - Software Engineering to lead the Product Engineering Team in Columbia, MO. This role emphasizes building high-performing teams, directing SDLC practices, and delivering scalable software solutions.

You will work closely with product, project management, UX, and other tech groups to align engineering work with business needs. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of leadership experience, strong communication, and a track record of delivering complex systems in an Agile

Experience leading software engineering teams using Agile methodologies.
Background in building scalable enterprise software.
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

Build high-performing teams by providing clear goals and continuous feedback.
Improve team and individual performance.
Establish clear goals and objectives that align with Department Game Plans.
Provide continuous feedback to engineers through regular 1-on-1 meetings.
Coach teams to practice SDLC methodologies.
Collaborate with technology teams, product managers, project managers, and UX.
Analyze requirements with non-technical stakeholders and understand constraints.
Define development guidelines and standards for app development and integration.
Escalate delivery impediments, risks, issues, and changes to stakeholders.
