Job summary

Reddit, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Ads ML Efficiency function. You will lead a team focused on model optimization, training efficiency, GPU enablement, load testing, and efficiency tooling across Ads ML.

You will partner with ranking and ML Platform teams to identify bottlenecks, land measurable efficiency wins, and build repeatable tooling and processes for high-impact launches.

Qualifications

• Close to models: training, serving, debugging, and optimization.
• Experience improving training loops and GPU utilization.
• Ability to lead and mentor engineers in ambiguous priorities.
• Familiarity with production-scale ML systems and cost considerations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a high-performing ML engineering team.
• Define roadmap for training and inference optimization.
• Drive reductions in training time, latency, and cost.
• Build profiling, benchmarking, and observability tooling.
• Partner with model owners and platform teams to accelerate launches.
• Balance near-term optimizations with platformization.
• Coordinate with MLP, AMP, Ranking, and serving teams.
• Set engineering standards for measurement and launch safety.
