Job summary

Duolingo is seeking a Manager and Team Lead for the Experiments Team to oversee the A/B testing system powering our product development lifecycle. You will manage the in-house Experiment Platform, define experiments, run them in the app, and measure outcomes, while staying closely connected to product decisions to optimize learner experience.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and building a team of software engineers.
• Track record of building scalable infrastructure and working with large datasets.
• Experience with A/B testing, either via supporting experiment infrastructure or in product development.

Responsibilities

• Expand the capabilities on our Experiment Platform to support more sophisticated types of A/B tests and statistical methods.
• Empower teams to confidently evaluate their key metrics and gate access to new functionality.
• Help shape the future of accelerated feature shipping by enabling improved experiment automation and backend-based control of the learner experience.
• Scale the Experiment Platform to handle increased experiment velocity in a cost-efficient manner.
• Partner with product teams to devise approaches to measuring complex product scenarios and advise on experiment strategy.
• Shape the future of the Duolingo product lifecycle through A/B testing.
