Job summary

LaSalle Network is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead its engineering team for a well-established manufacturer of modular and custom retail displays. You will drive design optimization, streamline processes, and ensure on-time, on-budget execution of custom and standard fixtures while fostering collaboration across Design, Production, Quality and Supply Chain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of engineering experience in wood, metal or mixed-materials manufacturing.
• In-depth knowledge of multiple materials and fabrication processes.
• Advanced proficiency in 3D CAD (Autodesk Inventor & Vault).
• Hands-on BOMs and ERP/PDM data structures experience.
• Mentor and train junior engineers.
• Proven track record leading fast-paced environments balancing cost, quality, and timeline.
• Strong analytical and written/verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a cross-functional Engineering team including design engineers, estimators and project managers.
• Drive optimization of custom and standard fixtures to meet client requirements and cost targets.
• Oversee development and continuous improvement of the patented 3-inch pin-system product lines.
• Translate customer specifications into manufacturable engineering solutions with BOM accuracy.
• Coordinate with Design/Sales, Production and Purchasing to hand off from concept to production.
• Support new product introductions handed off from New Product Development.
• Facilitate regular project reviews and status updates with senior leadership, highlighting progress and risks.
• Ensure fit, form and function, tolerances, material selection, manufacturability, safety and cost-effectiveness.

This role will drive optimization of product design, streamline processes, and ensure on-time, on-budget execution of custom and standard fixtures, while fostering cross-functional collaboration between Design, Production, Quality and Supply Chain.

• Lead and mentor a cross-functional Engineering team, including design engineers, estimators and project managers
• Drive optimization of custom and standard fixtures to meet client requirements and cost targets

• Translate customer specifications into detailed, manufacturable engineering solutions, maintaining BOM accuracy and CAD/Vault data integrity
• Coordinate closely with Design/Sales, Production and Purchasing to ensure seamless handoff from concept to production
• Support new product introductions handed off from New Product Development
• Facilitate regular project reviews and status updates with senior leadership, highlighting progress, risks and resource needs
• Ensure fit, form and function, accurate tolerances, material selection, manufacturability, safety compliance and cost-effectiveness across all deliverables

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Design, Engineering or a related field
• 8+ years of engineering experience in wood, metal or mixed-materials manufacturing environments
• In-depth knowledge of multiple materials (wood, metal, plastics, glass, composites) and fabrication processes
• Advanced proficiency in 3D CAD software (preferably Autodesk Inventor & Vault)
• Hands-on experience creating and maintaining BOMs and ERP/PDM data structures
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and train junior/design engineers
• Proven track record leading fast-paced environments while balancing cost, quality and timeline
• Strong analytical skills to diagnose design/production issues and implement data-driven fixes
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills across cross-functional teams
• Confident client-facing presence with ability to gather requirements and manage expectations
• Willingness to travel up to 25%
