Mozn is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead a team building and scaling Focal with a strong focus on innovation, reliability, and delivering impactful solutions for our customers.

You will mentor engineers, ensure high-quality code and design, and drive learning and development while shaping a robust software development process across SaaS platforms.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field.
• 10 years of software engineering experience, preferably in SaaS or large-scale distributed applications.
• Previous team leadership experience.
• Solid communication skills and the ability to convey technical solutions to end-users and the engineering team.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages with drive to learn and progress.
• Proficient understanding of system design and distributed computing principles.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases such as HBase, Cassandra, and MongoDB.
• Solid understanding of Scrum agile framework and other software development processes.

Responsabilités

• Manage and mentor a team of engineers to design, develop and maintain product features.
• Ensure the code and design quality are against industry best practices and highest standards.
• Coach and mentor team members on high-level design, architecture, effort sizing, and testing practices.
• Give engineers feedback on their day-to-day job performance.
• Steer the engineers’ individual learning and development plans.
• Initiate hiring and the allocation of resources to support the team.
• Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments.
• Oversee the implementation of the software development process.

  Ability to briefly explain sophisticated issues in systems and processes.
• Solid experience of multiple programming languages with a demonstrated drive to learn and progress in the technical skill and nuanced art of development.
• Proficient understanding of system design and distributed computing principles.
  Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, such as HBase, Cassandra, and MongoDB.
• Solid understanding of the Scrum agile framework and other software development processes.
