DSJ Global is partnered with a global manufacturing organization seeking an Engineering Manager to lead process safety, asset reliability, engineering standards, and capital project execution at its manufacturing site in the greater St. Louis, MO area.

This individual will serve as the site's technical authority, ensuring safe, compliant, and reliable operations while working closely with Operations, Maintenance, and EHS teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or related Engineering required.
• 10+ years engineering experience in manufacturing/process industries.

This individual will serve as the site's technical authority, ensuring safe, compliant, and reliable operations while working closely with Operations, Maintenance, and EHS teams. The role oversees engineering change, drives continuous improvement, and builds long-term technical capability across the site. Success requires strong leadership, process safety expertise, and experience in a complex manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the site's engineering and technical authority.
• Lead process safety initiatives, including risk assessments, hazard analyses, and incident investigations.
• Establish and maintain engineering standards supporting safe and compliant operations.
• Drive mechanical integrity and reliability programs for critical manufacturing assets.
• Lead root cause analysis efforts and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Oversee management of change (MOC) processes for equipment, process, and control system modifications.
• Support and manage capital projects from planning through startup and commissioning.
• Ensure pre-startup safety reviews and operational readiness activities are completed.
• Partner cross-functionally to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance.
• Utilize operational and reliability data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Develop engineering talent through coaching, mentorship, and technical leadership.
• Drive continuous improvement of systems, procedures, and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or related Engineering discipline.
• 10+ years of engineering experience within a manufacturing or process industry environment.
• Strong knowledge of process safety management and risk mitigation practices.
• Experience with asset reliability, mechanical integrity, and maintenance strategies.
• Proven experience leading capital projects, equipment startups, and operational readiness activities.
• Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, communication, and continuous improvement capabilities.
