Job summary

Bluebeam, part of the Nemetschek Group, seeks an Engineering Manager to lead software teams delivering cloud-connected SaaS and single-tenant products.

You will recruit and mentor engineers, drive roadmaps, manage budgets, and collaborate with architects, product managers, and QA to deliver high-quality solutions.

Qualified candidates have 12+ years in the industry, 4+ years of technical leadership, strong AWS experience, IaC and CI/CD, and proficiency in Go, C#, or Python.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years in industry with progressive growth in responsibility.
  • 4+ years technical leadership and managing teams of 5 or more engineers.
  • Strong leadership, high emotional intelligence, detail oriented organizational skills.
  • Must have Amazon AWS experience (EC2, S3, SQS, SNS, Kinesis, ELB, Lambda) and containerized architecture.
  • Experience implementing infrastructure as code with CI/CD pipelines (Terraform, Jenkins).
  • Proficiency in GoLang, C# on .NET, or Python.
  • Strong knowledge of REST API and web technologies.

The Engineering Manager oversees the development of seamless collaborative applications, both cloud-connected SaaS and customer managed single tenant products.

This role serves as a technical hands-on leader working with various cross functional members of our product-engineering organization and from time-to-time interacting with other key members throughout the Bluebeam organization.

About the Role:
  • Leads team(s) throughout software development lifecycle.
  • Recruits, mentors, coaches, retains, inspires engineering individual contributors and tech leads on a day-to-day basis.
  • Sets and tracks goals and objectives with each assigned team member.
  • Participates and assists with expense approval and budget planning.
  • Creatively solves problems and clear roadblocks that often cross technical and human factor domains.
  • Conducts and attends meetings with key stakeholders to present facts that lead to quality decisions.
  • Communicates effectively and provides clarity in a 360 fashion.
  • Collaborates with architects, tech leads, product delivery managers, product managers, engineers, and quality engineering to build and deliver excellence
About You:
  • 12+ years in industry with progressive growth in responsibility
  • 4+ years technical leadership and managing teams of 5 or more engineers
  • Strong leadership, character, high emotional intelligence, detail oriented organizational skills
  • Strong growth minded leader, with a resilient will who embrace change and learn quickly
  • Must have Amazon AWS experience (EC2, S3, SQS, SNS, Kinesis, ELB, Lambda)
    experience with service/microservices oriented computing architecture in a containerized environment.
  • Experience implementing infrastructure as code, including building and integrating into CI/CD pipelines. (Prioritizing candidates with Terraform and Jenkins experience)
  • Strong skills in at least one programming language: GoLang, C# on .Net, Python
  • Strong knowledge of REST API and web protocol and technologies (HTTPS, CORS, Postman, JSON, XML.)
  • Familiarity with cloud native technology and cloud transformation landscape.

Base pay offered will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations. Base pay is one part of Bluebeam’s Total Rewards program, which seeks to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable commission plan, while most non-sales position are eligible for a bonus under the terms of an applicable bonus plan. The base pay range for this position is: $153,800-$211,400
