Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical discipline.
• 3–5 years in industrial engineering roles.
• Formal TPM, Six Sigma, TPS, or Lean training.
• 5+ years implementing and leading engineering functions.
• Strong written communication and ability to present data.
• Analytical skills to define problems and draw conclusions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver maintenance engineering function safely and in compliance.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategy with KPI measurement.
• Manage engineering budget and report against KPIs.
• Drive continuous improvement and lead the engineering team.
• Coordinate process engineering team and allocate resources.
• Oversee plant shutdowns, liaise with contractors, procure spares.

Job description

Purpose of Position

Responsible for leading the Engineering function and delivering world‑class maintenance processes and procedures to the North Augusta Industrial Filtration operation. Drives continuous improvement (CI) and professional maintenance principles.

Major Responsibilities

• Ensure engineering work is designed, procured, and delivered in a safe, managed, and lawful manner, compliant with all relevant legislation.
• Fully support and comply with HSE and Quality policies.
• Develop and implement a maintenance strategy that meets the needs of the plant and business through measurement and analysis of facility performance, aligned with manufacturer recommendations.
• Ensure the operational delivery of the engineering budget and reporting against established KPIs.
• Deliver continuous improvement through leadership.
• Identify, provide, and facilitate solutions to engineering and technical problems.
• Manage development of technical strategies, documents, contracts, processes, and specifications to ensure quality, consistency, and efficiency.
• Manage periodic shutdowns of plant equipment, liaise with contractors and sub‑contractors, and procure spares and materials.
• Ensure equipment is delivered on time and within budget, and develop remedial strategies when shortfalls are identified.
• Develop and manage technical practice and standards, including ISO 9001 compliance.
• Coordinate and manage the Process Engineering Team, aligning resources with business requirements.
• Ensure compliance with engineering legislation and that maintenance and production standards are observed and applied.
• Develop technical capability within the team and assess value of new technologies.
• Take responsibility for managing revenue and capital projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or equivalent in an engineering or technical discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years of industrial experience in an engineering function.
• Formal TPM, Six Sigma, TPS, or Lean training related to world‑class maintenance processes.
• At least 5 years of successful implementation and management of engineering functions.
• Strong written communication skills: reports, business correspondence, procedure manuals.
• Ability to present information clearly and respond to questions from production and maintenance employees.
• Analytical ability: define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
