Accura Engineering seeks an experienced Engineering Manager for MSFC contracts in Huntsville, AL. You will lead multidisciplinary engineering teams, guide planning and execution, and ensure technical excellence and timely, cost-effective delivery.

The role emphasizes compliance with standards, collaboration with program leadership, and mentoring staff with strong communication and problem-solving skills. A PE or RA is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of engineering experience with supervisory or management responsibilities.
• Experience in project execution within aerospace, federal, or large-scale infrastructure projects preferred.
• Strong knowledge of engineering standards, project execution procedures and quality management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of engineers across multiple disciplines (mechanical, electrical, civil, etc.).
• Oversee planning, design, and execution of tasks for buildings, structures, and sites under contract.
• Provide technical direction, mentoring, and professional development for engineering staff.

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to provide leadership and technical oversight for engineering services under contract at the Marshall Space Flight Center. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for guiding multidisciplinary engineering teams, ensuring technical excellence, and coordinating closely with program leadership to deliver high-quality, timely, and cost-effective solutions. This role requires strong technical expertise, proven leadership ability, and the capacity to manage both people and processes in a dynamic, client-focused environment.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of engineers across multiple disciplines (mechanical, electrical, civil, etc.).
• Oversee the planning, design, and execution of engineering tasks associated with planning, design, construction, maintenance, and repair of buildings, support structures, and work sites in support of the contract.

Education/Experience:

• Preferred: Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or Architecture from an accredited university.
• Highly Preferred: Professional Engineer (PE) registration or Registered Architect.
• 8-10 years of relevant engineering experience, including supervisory or management responsibilities.
• Prior experience in project execution within aerospace, federal, or large-scale infrastructure projects is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of engineering standards, project execution procedures, and quality management practices.
• Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary engineering teams and deliver complex projects.
• Comprehensive understanding of engineering design processes, procurement, and construction support.
• Excellent leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.
• Demonstrated organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with project controls tools.
