Job summary

Accura Engineering is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to provide leadership and technical oversight for engineering services at the Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) in Huntsville, AL. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, ensure technical excellence, and deliver high-quality, timely, and cost-effective solutions.

The role requires strong leadership, a track record in large-scale projects, and the ability to interface with program leadership and NASA stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Must be a US Citizen and pass a federal background review and drug screen.
• Bachelor or Master of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Eng or Architecture from an accredited university.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration is highly preferred.
• 8–10 years of engineering experience with supervisory/management responsibilities.
• Experience in aerospace, federal, or large-scale infrastructure projects preferred.
• Strong knowledge of engineering standards, design processes, procurement, and construction support.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of engineers across multiple disciplines (mechanical, electrical, civil, etc.).
• Oversee planning, design, and execution of engineering tasks for buildings, structures, and sites under contract.
• Provide technical direction, mentoring, and professional development for engineering staff.

• Monitor performance, schedule, and cost to ensure efficient project execution.
• Identify opportunities for innovation, continuous improvement, and process optimization.
• Represent the engineering team in meetings with NASA stakeholders and project partners.
• Coordinate seamlessly between engineering, construction supervision, GIS, and inspection teams.

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to provide leadership and technical oversight for engineering services under contract at the Marshall Space Flight Center. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for guiding multidisciplinary engineering teams, ensuring technical excellence, and coordinating closely with program leadership to deliver high-quality, timely, and cost-effective solutions. This role requires strong technical expertise, proven leadership ability, and the capacity to manage both people and processes in a dynamic, client-focused environment.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of engineers across multiple disciplines (mechanical, electrical, civil, etc.).
• Oversee the planning, design, and execution of engineering tasks associated with planning, design, construction, maintenance, and repair of buildings, support structures, and work sites in support of the contract.

Education/Experience:

• Preferred: Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or Architecture from an accredited university.
• Highly Preferred: Professional Engineer (PE) registration or Registered Architect.
• 8-10 years of relevant engineering experience, including supervisory or management responsibilities.
• Prior experience in project execution within aerospace, federal, or large-scale infrastructure projects is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of engineering standards, project execution procedures, and quality management practices.
• Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary engineering teams and deliver complex projects.
• Comprehensive understanding of engineering design processes, procurement, and construction support.
• Excellent leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.
• Demonstrated organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with project controls tools.
