Venteon is seeking an Engineering Manager for a Lima, OH area automotive supplier. The role oversees process engineers, tool room, and industrial engineering teams, driving quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement in in-plant and advanced engineering functions.

You will interface with customers and corporate teams, set roles, and develop staff while ensuring OSHA and safety standards are upheld in all operations. The position is in-plant with some overtime.

• Working knowledge of plant-wide engineering and manufacturing functions.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate and direct the efforts of process engineers, tool room, and industrial engineering teams to ensure quality and quantity meet customer expectations.
• Set duties and responsibilities for roles reporting to you.
• Drive continuous improvement of production products in both in-plant and advanced engineering functions.
• Interface with customers, corporate, and plant engineering to resolve quality or quantity concerns.
• Select, develop, motivate, and train qualified team members to achieve technical goals.
• Provide engineering and technical assistance to other departments as needed.
• Support all engineering functions including OSHA compliance, ergonomics, and safety for personnel and equipment.
• Oversee tooling and equipment quality, plant engineering, maintenance, and containerizing.

Venteon is currently seeking an Engineering Manager to fill an opening with a company located in the Lima, OH area.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

• Join a leading automotive supplier in the Lima, Ohio area, specializing in metal stamping, tool & die, and welding operations.
• Work in a non-union plant with approximately 300 employees and advanced manufacturing capabilities, including die stamping, deep draw, automated assembly, and robotic spot welding.

• This is a full-time, permanent, direct hire position with high priority.
• The role is based in-plant, with some overtime required.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Coordinate and direct the efforts of process engineers, tool room, and industrial engineer team members to ensure product quality and quantity meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Establish duties and responsibilities for positions reporting directly to you.
• Drive continuous improvement of production products in both in-plant and advanced engineering functions.
• Interface with customers, corporate, and plant engineering to resolve quality or quantity concerns.
• Select, develop, motivate, and train qualified, skilled team members to achieve technical goals.
• Provide engineering and technical assistance to other departments as needed.
• Support all engineering functions in plant, corporate exercises, and tool shop build and design programs, including compliance with O.S.H.A. regulations, ergonomics, and safety for personnel and equipment.
• Oversee tooling and equipment quality and efficiency, plant engineering, maintenance, engineering, and containerizing.
• Lead and support SPECS, TQM, C.F.T., and continuous improvement programs.
• Comply with all quality and environmental system requirements.
• Maintain or designate responsibility for Material Safety Data Sheets, proper container labeling, and new chemical reviews.

WHAT IS REQUIRED

• Previous engineering management experience in an automotive manufacturing plant.
• Expertise in metal stamping and tool & die.
• Excellent managerial and supervisory skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of plant-wide engineering and manufacturing functions.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a Journeyman’s Card in Tool and Die.
