Aurorate LLC is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and support manufacturing engineering activities within our production facility. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for overseeing engineering projects, equipment performance, process improvement initiatives, production support, and continuous improvement efforts. This position will work closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Leadership teams to drive operational excellence, efficiency, safety, and product quality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and manage manufacturing engineering personnel and engineering projects.
- Develop and implement process improvements to increase productivity, quality, and efficiency.
- Support production operations by troubleshooting manufacturing and equipment-related issues.
- Oversee installation, validation, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and tooling.
- Analyze production data and implement corrective actions to improve performance.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Develop and maintain manufacturing work instructions, process documentation, and engineering standards.
- Collaborate with Quality to investigate root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Manage capital improvement projects, equipment upgrades, and facility improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate engineering support for new product introductions and process transfers.
- Develop project timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
- Train and mentor engineering and technical personnel.
- Support preventative maintenance and reliability programs.
- Participate in customer audits and technical discussions as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
- Minimum 3 years of leadership or management experience.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, and automation systems.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Ability to analyze production metrics and implement data-driven improvements.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP/MRP systems.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in metal fabrication, tubing, automotive, industrial manufacturing, or related industries.
- Lean Six Sigma certification.
- Experience managing capital projects and equipment installations.
- Bilingual English/Mandarin/Spanish is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk production floors and manufacturing areas regularly.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment.
