Qualifications

• Experience developing or implementing simulation methods and analytical techniques
• Exposure to CFD, thermal/fluid, or multiphysics simulation
• Engineering management, technical leadership, or mentoring experience

Engineering Manager - FEA & Structural Analysis

• Clemson, SC area - must work onsite (relo assistance considered)
• $130K-$150K+ Base

We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead and advance a team of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineers supporting simulation, testing, and new product development.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role with a strong focus on FEA and structural analysis using ANSYS. Beyond managing the existing team, this person will help expand simulation capabilities, introduce new analytical methods, and identify better ways to predict and improve product performance.

We will consider both experienced Engineering Managers and highly technical Senior, Lead, and/or Principal Engineers ready to take the next step into management.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a team of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineers
• Serve as a technical leader for FEA, structural, modal, vibration, dynamic, and multiphysics analysis
• Advance the team's simulation capabilities through new methods, tools, and approaches
• Identify opportunities to improve how simulation is used in product design and development
• Challenge existing analytical approaches and develop solutions for complex engineering problems
• Use ANSYS and other simulation tools to evaluate product performance and guide design decisions
• Support CFD, thermal/fluid, and broader multiphysics analysis as needed
• Support new product development from early concepts through testing and validation
• Correlate simulation results with physical testing and measured data
• Work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and design teams
• Provide technical mentorship while establishing priorities and development goals for engineers

Qualifications:

• BSME, BSAE, or similar (advanced degrees a plus)
• 5-10+ years of relevant engineering experience preferred
• Strong hands-on FEA and ANSYS
• Structural, stress, modal, vibration, fatigue, dynamics, impact, or similar analysis
• Ability to solve complex simulation and engineering problems
• Experience developing, improving, or implementing simulation methods and analytical techniques
• Exposure to CFD, thermal/fluid, or multiphysics simulation
• MATLAB, Simulink, Simscape, Python, or similar tools
• Physical testing, validation, and data acquisition
• Supporting new product development or complex electromechanical/mechanical products
• Engineering management, technical leadership, or mentoring experience

Experience with consumer products, power tools, industrial equipment, electromechanical products, automotive, aerospace, or other manufactured products is a plus.
