Job summary

Hyatt Regency Dallas is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the hotel’s maintenance and engineering operations. You will oversee building systems, coordinate with leaders and vendors, and drive safety, quality, and guest satisfaction across all mechanical and structural areas.

The role requires 1–3+ years in hotel or building management, strong English communication, and proficiency with MS Office. You will partner with the engineering team on projects, safety training, and emergency response

Qualifications

• English communication skills are required.
• Proven leadership skills in a hotel or building environment.
• 1–3+ years of progressive hotel or building management experience.
• Experience with chilled water, hot water, water boosters, HVAC, energy management, and kitchen facilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems.
• Prepare and submit budget estimates and cost tracking reports.
• Develop and implement quality control programs.
• Inspect projects for compliance with building and safety codes.
• Coordinate with Engineering Leaders and vendors.
• Coach staff to Hyatt service standards and improve guest experience.

Summary

The Engineering Manager is responsible for assisting with maintaining the overall operation of Union Station and supports the Hotel's engineering department. The Engineering Manager must be able to work independently, as well as with others. Responsibilities may include maintaining the exterior of the building, common areas, mechanical areas, central plant operations, all guestrooms, conducting monthly safety inspections, training staff on safety and emergency procedures, and working with contractors and vendors. The Engineering Manager must be willing to respond to emergencies as needed and work with Engineering Leaders on special remodeling projects or capital expenditure needs. This position requires overall maintenance knowledge and trouble shooting ability with skills in building mechanical equipment and central plants, high-rise plumbing systems, electrical distribution, kitchen equipment, as well as painting and finishes.

Qualifications

• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills in English
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, & Excel
• Proven leadership skills
• 1-3 years or more of progressive hotel or building management experience
• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience is required on the following:
• Chilled water systems
• Domestic hot water systems
• Domestic water booster systems
• HVAC systems
• Energy management systems
• Kitchen facilities
