Job summary

Movement Search & Delivery is partnering with a leading manufacturer in the Greater Columbus, IN area to identify a Manufacturing Engineering Manager with a focus on forging. You will lead a skilled team, shape robust production processes, and drive continuous improvements across quality, safety, yield, and cost performance.

This hands-on leadership role requires a strong engineering background, a track record of delivering measurable operational improvements, and the ability to manage process

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering field.
• 5+ years of experience in machining, forging or powdered metal processes.
• 3+ years of progressive leadership in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of engineering software such as CAD, Mastercam, CATIA, or MATLAB.
• Strong ability to develop processes, manage launches, and deliver measurable operational improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Manufacturing Engineering team, ensuring the right structure, skills, and support for all functional groups.
• Design and implement manufacturing processes, equipment sourcing, and capital investment plans for new product programs.
• Oversee process launches, enforce timelines, and manage CapEx budgets for assigned areas.
• Drive continuous improvement by analyzing performance data to increase yield, runtime, quality, and safety while reducing costs.
• Provide technical leadership for troubleshooting, corrective actions, and ongoing production support.
• Build training, assessment, and succession plans that strengthen the Manufacturing Engineering organization.

About the Role:

Take the lead in driving high-impact manufacturing engineering for forge operations. You will guide a talented team, shape efficient production processes, and deliver continuous improvements that boost quality, safety, yield, and cost performance. This is a hands-on leadership role where your technical expertise and process innovation will directly influence operational excellence and new product launches.
