Vanderbilt University seeks a Senior Director of Development for the School of Engineering to lead strategic fundraising for transformational gifts. You will manage 65–75 high-capacity prospects, aiming $3–5 million annually, and partner with institutes and centers to advance priorities.

Reporting to the Associate Dean of Development, Engineering, you will cultivate foundations and corporate partners while coordinating with cross-functional DAR teams. This is a hybrid role in Nashville.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA or related advanced degree preferred.
• Eight years of development or fundraising experience required.
• Proven success soliciting and closing gifts of $100,000+ and participation in major gifts.
• Ability to manage a full donor lifecycle from identification to gift closure.
• Experience with foundation relations and corporate giving programs.

Responsabilités

• Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major and principal gifts to support Engineering priorities.
• Manage a portfolio of high-capacity prospects (65–75) targeting gifts of $100k+.
• Lead donor lifecycle from prospecting through solicitation and closure; conduct 15–20 solicitations annually.
• Collaborate with cross-functional DAR teams and engineering leadership to align fundraising strategies.
• Develop plans and pursue opportunities with foundations and corporate partners.
