Job summary

PACCAR is seeking an Engineering Liaison to bridge engineering and manufacturing, under general supervision. You will coordinate with manufacturing, materials, and production to drive issues to resolution and provide on‑the‑spot engineering advice for design, installation, or production challenges.

You will also document changes to chassis images, feedback to engineering staff, and coordinate with design groups on new parts or rework, while supporting product change implementations and dealer

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering preferred.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to relate technical information to all levels.
• Proficient in Windows operating system and Microsoft Office suite.
• Must meet physical requirements of the position with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with manufacturing, materials, and production to support engineering issues.
• Provide on-the-spot engineering advice for design, installation, or production issues.
• Document and communicate changes to chassis images and ensure correct parts usage.
• Feedback to local resident engineering staff and Division Engineering on design errors.
• Assist with product change implementations, prototypes, and coordination.
• Improve installation knowledge and production/customer quality.
• Work with vendors and departments to approve/deny deviations to drawings.
• Contact dealers on chassis related items via Application Technician.
• Assist Release Department with information for the release process.
• Coordinate with the Design Group for new parts or rework.
