Job summary

Eisen is seeking an engineering leader to scale a high‑assurance backend platform in a NYC‑based, regulated fintech environment. You will shape technical direction, drive delivery, and mentor senior engineers while partnering with product, compliance, and security teams.

You will own architecture, roadmap, and standards for core systems, ensuring quality and reliability as the organization grows from a hands‑on leadership role into a broader leadership position.

Qualifications

• Experience doubling an engineering team in B2B SaaS fintech
• Leader-first mindset with ability to deep dive when needed
• Experience leading senior principal engineers
• Strong background in scalable, secure backend systems
• Comfortable in a regulated fintech environment
• NYC based

Responsibilities

• Scale the team from 10 to 30 and build hiring/onboarding/process infrastructure
• Drive execution with a set cadence to ship on time without sacrificing quality
• Own quality at scale and ensure reliability as codebase and team grow
• Define architecture, roadmap, and standards for core systems (data processing, transaction processing, security, partner integrations)
• Lead and develop engineers with regular feedback and a culture of ownership
• Stretch beyond the swim lane and understand the compliance problem to shape what is built
• Partner with Product, Compliance, Security, Sales, and Operations, communicating with non-technical stakeholders
