Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is hiring a Software Development Manager for Measurement, Ad Tech, and Data Science to lead the engineering team building large-scale attribution systems processing over 50 billion events per day.

You will collaborate with product managers, scientists, and economists to shape attribution measurement, set technical direction, and deliver scalable production systems using Spark, Iceberg, DynamoDB, S3, and AWS cloud services.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience.
• 3+ years of designing or architecting distributed systems (design patterns, reliability, scaling).
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the 1‑2 year technical vision and strategic direction for a big data measurement platform.
• Build, manage, and develop a team of world‑class engineers.
• Partner with product managers, scientists, and economists to shape attribution measurement.
• Set technical direction with senior engineers — ensure high‑quality design reviews and architecture feedback.
• Deliver robust and scalable solutions toward your vision; adopt new technologies as needed.
• Build relationships with peer SDMs, engineers, product managers, and TPMs on partner teams.
• Oversee resource allocation to balance tactical delivery and strategic goals.
• Participate in organizational planning to achieve technical and business objectives.
