Job summary

Statista is hiring an Engineering Manager for Data & Content Delivery in Hamburg or Berlin. You will lead a cross-functional team of data, infra, and backend engineers, shaping a governance-driven data platform. Collaborate with product and data stakeholders to drive a clear roadmap, ensure data integrity, and deliver scalable APIs.

You will own data distribution, contribute to the data catalogue, and mentor senior engineers while guiding architectural decisions and leveraging AWS tools.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience leading cross-functional, product-oriented engineering teams.
• Backend development with Java or Python; relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with data warehouse technologies and ETL pipelines; governance.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and microservices architectures.
• Familiarity with Data Governance tools, data catalogs, and schema contracts.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with senior engineers and product teams.
• Experience building applications on AWS.

Responsibilities
