Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the engineering function for the NGM Capital Projects portfolio in Elko, NV. You will oversee technical governance, ensure constructability of deliverables, manage engineering consultants, and integrate engineering with procurement, construction, and operations on site.

The role emphasizes safety, leadership of a site-based team, and collaboration with construction, operations, and maintenance to deliver high-quality outcomes on time

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Process/Metallurgical, or related)
• PE or equivalent professional registration preferred
• 10–15 years of engineering experience on mining or minerals processing capital projects, including 5+ years in an engineering leadership role preferred
• Brownfield/site-based project environments and construction-phase engineering experience preferred
• Experience managing engineering consultants and EPC/EPCM contracts preferred
• Working knowledge of North American codes, standards, and regulatory requirements preferred
• Strong technical leadership with practical, construction-focused judgment required
• Efficient management of multidisciplinary teams and consultants required
• Collaborative working style with construction, operations, and maintenance stakeholders required
• Structured change control, document management, and design assurance preferred
• Clear communication and reporting capability required

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering delivery across the NGM projects portfolio, including process, mechanical, civil/structural, electrical, and instrumentation/controls disciplines.
• Manage engineering consultants and EPC/EPCM partners, including scope, schedules, budgets, deliverable quality, and performance.
• Ensure designs comply with company standards, codes, and MSHA and other regulatory requirements.
• Provide field engineering support during construction and commissioning; resolve technical queries and design changes.
• Coordinate engineering input into permitting and regulatory submissions as required.
• Build, lead, and develop the site-based engineering team; report status to project leadership.
