Job summary

Infor is seeking a Team Lead to guide a team of engineers delivering an AI-driven data migration and governance platform, with Python as the primary language. This role blends hands-on technical leadership with people management and architectural decision-making to unblock challenging problems.

You will partner with product managers, architects, and other team leads to translate priorities into a high-quality roadmap, and drive adoption of AI-assisted development practices across the team.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Python, building production services and data pipelines.
• Experience leading or mentoring a team of engineers.
• Production experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with relational and document databases.
• Polyglot development across Python and Java/JavaScript.
• Ability balance hands-on work with people management.

Responsibilities

• Set and enforce technical direction for the team’s services built primarily in Python, ensuring alignment with platform architecture.
• Lead architecture discussions and design reviews for services deployed via Docker/Kubernetes on AWS.
• Guide data modeling decisions across relational and document stores (PostgreSQL, DocumentDB).
• Drive team-wide adoption of AI-assisted and agentic development tooling and workflows.
• Own delivery timelines and quality for the team’s roadmap items, escalating risks early to product and engineering leadership.
• Partner with product managers to scope work, estimate effort, and sequence priorities.
• Coordinate with adjacent teams to manage cross-team dependencies.
• Maintain hands-on involvement in the codebase to review designs and unblock technical problems.
• Champion a polyglot approach, enabling Java/Spring or other languages where needed.
