Job summary

Sustainable Talent is partnering with NVIDIA to help fill an Engineering Lab Technician contract role in Hillsboro, OR. This full-time (W-2) position supports the Datacenter Systems & Board Design Team, with a pay range of $55/hr–$65/hr and full benefits.

You’ll work in a lab setting, testing and debugging hardware and software for GPU server products. You will assemble, test, and document results, collaborate with engineering teams, and help ensure high-quality NVIDIA datacenter products meet

Qualifications

  • Diploma/Certification, Associate or Bachelor's Degree in related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Min 2+ years of hands-on experience in an electronic or testing lab in the areas of silicon bringup, board-level design/validation, or system design/validation.
  • Fundamental knowledge of computing architectures and relevant hands-on hardware/software debug experience.
  • Experience with lab test equipment setups for signal measurement using oscilloscopes and understanding of schematics.
  • Experience with Linux command line operation.
  • Solid system-level debugging experience & familiarity with board bring-up and customer support.
  • Good attention to detail, as well as clear written and verbal communications.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, build, and install bench top development platforms and large server systems.
  • Run system tests.
  • Collect and report on testing results. Screen modules and boards as part of validation testing and debug.
  • Connect oscilloscope probes to boards and collect signal waveform data.
  • Prepare boards for detailed solder reworks to be completed by skilled technicians.
  • Perform mechanical reworks involving power tools such as a Dremel.
  • Support lab shipping & receiving logistics and manage inventory of equipment and materials.
  • Maintain and organize the lab equipment for efficiency and continuously look for ways to improve lab processes.

Sustainable Talent is partnering with NVIDIA, a global leader that has been transforming computer graphics, PC gaming, and accelerated computing for over 25 years. We are now looking for an Engineering Lab Technician to support Nvidia's Datacenter Systems & Board Design Team. This is a full-time (W-2) contract role based in Hillsboro, OR. In this role you'll support the testing and debug of NVIDIA's datacenter products. This role will maintain and debug lab systems involving sophisticated system level hardware and software. The primary responsibility is to support our engineering teams during development to ensure outstanding quality GPU server products may be released to the market and delight our customers so that AI scientists and datacenter operators can achieve their professional aspirations using NVIDIA technology. The new lab team member will work independently to complete daily tasks according to priorities, demonstrate a passion towards system level product quality, and should be comfortable in an engineering lab environment.

  • Experience with lab test equipment setups for signal measurement using oscilloscopes and understanding to follow a schematic.
  • Experience with x86/ARM architectures and accelerated GPU computing.
  • Show interest in tinkering/building electronics.
