Job summary

Continental Tire the Americas, LLC seeks a Development Coop to work in the quality lab, performing tests on conveyor belts and components in support of continuous improvement and R&D. The position reports to the lab manager and coordinates with manufacturing facilities to obtain samples and materials.

Candidates should be in the 2nd year of a BS program in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with a 3.0 GPA, and must be able to work 40 hours per week in summer and at least 10 hours per week during

Qualifications

• Completion of 2nd year of college toward BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3.0 GPA.
• Computer skills in Word and Excel.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week in the summer and a minimum of 10 hours per week during the school year.

Responsibilities

• Perform tests on conveyor belts and components in the quality lab.
• Interact with CBG manufacturing facilities to obtain samples, MDRs, raw materials, and other items for tests.
• Record results with accuracy and maintain detailed notes.
• Manufacture samples for lab tests using knives and other tools, with safe handling.
• Learn the operation of various test equipment and perform tests as directed.
