Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
• 6+ years of experience as a technical lead.
• New Product Development experience in aerospace/military industry.
• Ability to communicate, plan, organize, supervise, and control multiple projects.
• Experience from project start to finish.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Earned Value Management.
• Strong documentation and writing skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Direct Engineering IPT Lead Responsibilities: Perform the duties of an Engineering IPT Lead; Manage the technical team performance to project schedule and cost and support the program manager; Lead the new product development processes of electromechanical systems for commercial and military platforms; Demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness, judgment, cooperation, and ability to communicate technical information; Support new business pursuits that address program technical requirements and associated schedule and costs; Lead a technical team from the beginning to the end of a new development project; Communicate, plan, organize, supervise, and control work in one or more projects concurrently; Interface with both commercial and military customers in technical program definition and execution; Identify technical tasks and resources for projects and create engineering development plans, WBS, etc. needed to execute projects; Manage and control within 10% of approved engineering budget.;
• Functional Leadership Responsibilities: Coordinate subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions as it relates to the Engineering IPT Lead role.; Ensure compliance tasks are completed in a timely manner, and teaching and enforcing processes and procedures.; Develop and maintain the communications processes, tools, templates and training for cross-project coordination and execution.; Develop and maintain Monthly Resource Demand plans; Responsible for development and implementation of talent and capability roadmaps for the organization.; Communications, including internal Staff Meetings and dissemination of information, both down and up.
