Job summary

Olsson is seeking a summer 2027 engineering student intern with the Water/Wastewater team in Colorado. You will perform project design using CAD/modeling software, conduct technical analyses, prepare construction documents, and assist with field services and reporting.

You will work with engineers on sanitary sewer and water projects such as piping, pump stations, wells, storage tanks, and treatment facilities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a civil, environmental, or related engineering degree.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Design project components using CAD/modeling software and prepare construction documents.
• Perform technical analyses and assist with field services and reporting.

Job Description

Olsson offers clients a full spectrum of water and wastewater services, including planning, design, permitting, and construction phase services. As one of our summer 2027 engineering student interns with the Water/Wastewater team, you will perform meaningful, hands-on, real-world work that will transform your classroom experience and help you envision your future career.

You will provide project design utilizing CAD/modeling software, perform technical analysis, prepare construction documents, provide construction services, perform research, and write technical reports. You will work closely with other team members and engineers on projects related to wastewater collection and treatment along with water supply, storage, treatment, and distribution. Typical projects you will work on include sanitary sewer piping, water and wastewater pump stations, water piping, water supply wells, water storage tanks, and water treatment facilities.

Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, geographic location, skills, education, and internal equity.

Colorado Pay Range
$22 - $26 USD
