Job summary

Olsson offers student interns in the Water/Wastewater team meaningful, hands-on work—designing projects with CAD, performing analyses, and preparing documents that support water and wastewater facilities.

You will collaborate with engineers across sanitary sewer piping, pumping stations, and water treatment projects while developing communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a civil, chemical, or environmental engineering degree.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

Job Description

Olsson offers clients a full spectrum of water and wastewater services, including planning, design, permitting, and construction phase services. As a student intern with the Water/Wastewater team, you will perform meaningful, hands-on, real-world work that will transform your classroom experience and help you envision your future career. You will provide project design utilizing CAD/modeling software, perform technical analysis, prepare construction documents, provide construction services, perform research, and write technical reports. You will work closely with other team members and engineers on projects related to wastewater collection and treatment along with water supply, storage, treatment, and distribution. Typical projects you will work on include sanitary sewer piping, water and wastewater pump stations, water piping, water supply wells, water storage tanks, and water treatment facilities.
