Job summary

ERCOT invites students to participate in a Summer 2027 internship in Taylor, TX, within the Commercial Operations department. Interns will work on projects related to the Texas power grid, wholesale market analysis, and market operations while gaining exposure to real industry challenges.

Applicants should be enrolled in Electrical Engineering programs with a focus on power systems and economics, maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher. The program runs June through mid-August, on-site at Taylor, TX.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering preferably with a focus on Power Systems, Computer and Electrical Engineering, with focus in Economics.
• Eligible candidates should be enrolled in an academic bachelors or post graduate degree program maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
