Job summary

IKO Industries Ltd. in Sylacauga, Alabama, is seeking an Engineering Intern/Co-op to join Plant Operations.

This full-time paid internship offers exposure to maintenance and reliability initiatives, safety programs, and SOP development under senior engineers. You will analyze CMMS data, review JHA and SWIs, support DNA linkage of drawings, and participate in projects with plant maintenance, EH&S, and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Local to the State of Alabama.
• Currently enrolled in an Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering program.
• Proficient in MS Excel (advanced functionality).
• Able to read and interpret drawings; AutoCAD is a plus.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Work with Plant Maintenance team to advance Top 5 reliability initiatives.
• Collaborate with Environmental Health and Safety to review safety programs and training materials.
• Review and update SOPs, Job Hazard Analyses, and Standard Work Instructions.
• Collect and analyze CMMS data to identify common failure modes.
• Contribute to the DNA project linking equipment drawings to the CMMS.
• Participate in other projects as needed.
