Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with researching and evaluating development impacts of projects and alternatives.
• Prepare spreadsheets, graphs, drawings, and cost estimates.
• Support regulatory compliance permitting and report preparation.
• Review documents and technical publications.
• Assist with utility resource mapping using GIS and AutoCAD; field work and photo documentation.
• Coordinate with local agencies, site assessments, and infrastructure projects.

Work hours

10-20 hours per week, flexible schedule but within City business hours. The hours may be between Monday-Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

This position is classified as at-will, hourly, part-time. Hourly, part-time positions average 10-20 hours per week and less than 1,000 hours in a fiscal year.

Any combination equivalent to experience and training that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge, skills, and abilities would be:

• Current enrollment as a college/university sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student in the field of Civil or Environmental Engineering, or a closely related field
• Completion of a survey and fluids/hydraulics course
• Basic knowledge or understanding of AutoCAD

License

• Possession of a valid Class C driver's license is required at the time of application
